Well, I just joined and I am also in Juneau, Alaska! I'm actually more of a video guy and run my own little video production studio/company here. I do a little digital still photography, web site design and stuff but not too much. Anyways, good to see another Juneau person here! By the way, I like your website!!! Good work!!

My younger brother and his wife live in Juneau. He's worked for the State for a lot of years. He went to Juneau the hard way... he put a home build kayak in Puget Sound and paddled up back in the early 80's. Obviously, I got all the brains in the family. :D

damn... that's a hard way to get there alright... I spose he's been there all them years cause he's to wore out from that trip still to put his kayak back in the water and head south.

He had to sell it when he first got up there, so he's not had a way to get back. :D
He worked out on a salmon factory ship for awhile. I'm not sure when he got the job with the State of Alaska but he's been in their computer dept for a long time now. He use to always be all over the state at the different state offices working on their systems but in the last few years he's been able to stay put. Next time I talk to him I'm going to ask him if he knows who deleted all those oil payment records that cost the State so much in over time to rebuild the records because their backups didn't work either. I hope it wasn't him. :D

48 TONS OF FOOD pulled up onto the ocean ice.. using people power only
Over 300 people were used to pull this monster up.. it took over 17 hours, no breaks.. extremly exhausting work. no one gets paid.. we only get the right to .. .. .. .. EAT!
