Looks like it is going to go head to head with the other brands a bit more seriously.

Kinda shocking about some of the features considering it is really nipping at the heals of the 40D.

the rebel series has usually nipped at its larger bretheren. The XT at the 20D, the XTI, imo, takes a lot from the 40D... The XSI is probably a bit more than the 40D...

only problem is that the xti came out a year before the 40D...

I am hopeing that the 5D gets some upgrades and keeps the cost under 2500$ USD. I really would like to be able to shoot around 3200 ISO and get some good quality from it. (would save me from having to buy all that supper fast glass)

Better to buy the super fast glass. Glass lasts "forever", bodies come and go as you have illustrated.

well, down to the last 3 lenses in my I want list now and it would shorted up a little more if I was shooting FF and able to shoot at 3200.. LOL :click:
